Dr Storm completed his BSC and undergraduate MBChB study at the University of Pretoria and then moved to the Western Cape for internship and community service attached to the South African Military Health Service (SAMHS). Following one year abroad, working in England and Wales, he returned for speciality training at Stellenbosch University. He obtained his MMed (Orthopeadic Surgery) in 2007 as best candidate and also completed the FCS (Orthopeadic Surgery) in the same year. Following a short term academic fellowship in the NHS Spinal Service, (Nottingham UK) under renowned spinal surgeon Mr M Grevitt, he returned to work as consultant at Tygerberg Academic Hospital Dept Orthopaedic surgery, as well as in private practice.
Dr Storm remains involved in surgeon and registrar training and has lectured for AO International as well as on the Smith & Nephew lecture circuit. He is internationally publicised with several chapter contributions in "Tuberculosis" (Zumla & Schaaf, Elsevier London).
He has a keen interest in spinal surgery, hip and knee arthroplasty, as well as Arthroscopic Joint Surgery.
